I still don't get the point of scrubbing your part in this. It's not like Dad can't infer it from the fact the tree was in the middle of your kingdom and you guarded it.

[ There's no logic to it. Salt was just trying to ease the blow against a loved one even if anyone could easily infer it if they thought for a moment. Love is illogical as always. He knows that well, he's just annoyed.
